Zidane Zidane claims Real Madrid will stop Lionel Messi in El Clasico

Zinedine Zidane has revealed that Real Madrid are in a good form ahead of the much-anticipated trip to the Camp Nou face Barcelona.

The Frenchman has insisted Los Blancos have the weapons to dismantle their rivals when they both collide in a midweek La Liga clash.

The match was initially set for last October but was rescheduled because of the political unrest in the city of Barcelona.

Zidane admitted the threat of Lionel Messi but is confident his team have what it takes to win the clash.

"We know that we face a great team and that they have Messi, but we also have our weapons," he said in his pre-match press conference.

"I'm not worried about the Clasico. I'm happy to be able to play a game like that. There's a lot of talk ... but what people want to see tomorrow is a good game."

Surprisingly, both Madrid and Barca players will travel together to the Camp Nou, despite the on-field rivalry.

"They told us that we have to go to the stadium together [with Barcelona] and that is what we will do. The rules are the rules," Zidane reacted to the news.
