Silas Adekunle, the 27-year-old robotics engineer, was hosted by Vice President Yemi Osinbajo in Abuja on Monday, November 18.

According to the Instagram post of the engineer on his Instagram, he was appreciative for the time the vice president gave him in listening to his plan for robotics in Nigeria and Africa at large from the point of educating and increasing people’s skill.

Adekunle said Osinbajo did not just listen but pledged support for his robotics plans in the country.

Finally, in his post, he was grateful for the effort of all the teams that made the event possible and how their “optimism” motivated him.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng earlier reported that Adekunle is a top robotics engineer in the world who built a gaming machine that became a worldwide sensation and made $7.5m (N2,715,825,000) within weeks of its launch.

The 27-year-old young man is also a co-founder and CEO of Reach Robotics makers of Mekamon robots for which he signed an exclusive distribution deal with Apple in November 2017.

The quality of his robots and their ability to show emotion with subtly-calibrated movements made the tech giant priced his four-legged “battle-bots” at $300.

Apple also has them on display in nearly all of its stores in the United States and Britain.
