According to Goal.com, United offered a £70 million deal for the midfielder during the summer transfer window but he looked more like he wanted to join Real Madrid in the process.

Reports from the player's camp however reveals that he wants something different and Real is his ideal destination.

It is however unsure if Eriksen would be able to dictate the wage he would earn at his potential new club due to his free agent status next summer.
