Police rescue 4 remaining RCCG members from kidnappers
- The Ogun state police command says all members of the Redeemed church who were abducted on Thursday, August 1, have been rescued unhurt

The Ogun state police command has disclosed that it has rescued the four remaining members of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) who were abducted by kidnappers on Thursday, August 1.
The Cable reports that Abimbola Oyeyemi, the spokesperson for the command on Saturday, August 3, said the remaining four persons were rescued unhurt.

Reports about the rescue of the four persons was sequel to an earlier report that a female victim, Ibelegbo Chidinma, was rescued unhurt.
"Update on kidnap case: The remaining four victims have been rescued unhurt by men of Ogun state police command. Details shortly,” Oyeyemi said.
A tweet on the twitter handle of the Nigerian police also confirmed the release of the kidnapped victims.
"The police have rescued all the victims abducted along J3 Area of Ogbere on their way to Lagos, yesterday. The CP will be holding a press briefing soon at his Abeokuta office. IGP thanks Nigerians for their massive support to the Police, commends Police operatives,” the tweet read.
In a related report, general overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye has said that only one pastor of the church was abducted.

The Cable reported the pastor as saying on Friday, August 2, that investigations by the police had shown that it was only one pastor that was abducted alongside four other persons.
Legit.ng also reported that the general overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye, disclosed that five ministers of the church were on their way to the ministers’ conference when they were kidnapped on Thursday night, Augusts 1.
