- The husband, Temi Gomez, took to social media to share the tragic news

- She also confirmed the news on her Instagram page, sharing photos from her baby shower

These are certainly trying times for Nollywood star, Gbemisola Gomez also known as Scarlet, and her husband as they recently lost their son.

According to the tweet by her husband, Temi, their son Eli Gomez was born on June 16. Sadly he died and was buried on the next day at the Ikoyi cemetery. Although he didn't go into details about what led to his death, he prayed to God for strength to comfort them.

He wrote: "Yesterday my son Eli Gomez was born. Beautiful, chubby with plenty hair. Buried him this morning at Ikoyi. I guess he was too good for this earth. May God give me the strength to be there for his mum & give us peace at this trying time."

Confirming the news, she took to her Insta story to share a screenshot of her husband's tweet and wrote: "We'll miss you son."

The ex-beauty queen who has no single photos of her pregnant self on her Instagram page, took to her Instastory to share some photos from her baby shower where she looked so happy and expectant.

In other news, a Nigerian woman recently lost her life after giving birth to a set of triplets at a traditional maternity home in Emohua local government area of Rivers state.

A Facebook user identified as Okah Chris Obinichi shared the sad news on the platform.
