Governor Oyetola receives praise over regular payment of salaries

The Olubosin of Ifetedo, Oba Akinola Oyetade Akinrera, Latiti I has commended Governor Gboyega Oyetola for his regular payment of wokers’ salaries.

The Nation reports that the monarch praised the governor when he paid him a courtesy visit on Friday, April 26.

He said since Oyetola became governor, he has recorded giant strides in many sectors particularly in the area of the economy.

The monarch called on the governor to “revive the moribund mini water works located in many parts of the state in Oder to meet water needs of the residents.”

The Olubosin advocated for “effective utilization of Education Marshals” to stop truancy and other vices in primary and secondary schools.

The monarch who informed the governor of the success of the education summit he held in Ifetedo recentlyc alled on stakeholders “to be more proactive and committed to the educational development of the youths.”

Meanwhile, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) on Wednesday, April 24, urged the Court of Appeal, Abuja, to return Adegboyega Oyetola of the All Progressive Congress (APC) as duly elected governor of Osun state.

News Agency of Nigeria reports that others who prayed the court to return Oyetola as governor include the APC, and Oyetola himself.

Counsel to the parties made the unanimous call while adopting their written addresses before a five-man panel of justices of the court led by Justice Hannatu Sankey. The other justices are Abubakar Yahaya, Isaiah Akeju and Bitrus Sanga. ( -> We have upgraded to serve you better
