ACP Abayomi Shogunle tells Nigerians how to react during police encounter

- ACP Abayomi Shogunle has advised Nigerians on their responsibilities during a police encounter

- The police officer tells Nigerians to be polite, calm and not be abusive or resistant towards any officer

- Shogunle also explained that anyone's bag and car can be searched without a warrant

The assistant commissioner of police (ACP), Abayomi Shogunle, has shared a bit of advice with Nigerians on how to behave around police officers. The police officer listed a guide Nigerians should follow during any encounter with police.

In a tweet, the ACP explained that the list contain responsibilities Nigerians ought to follow during a police encounter. He listed six responsibilities.

Shogunle advised Nigerians to always be polite and calm. He also asked Nigerians not to resist, be abusive, push or assault an officer.

The police officer further warned Nigerians not to interfere with or obstruct police work. He later stated that anyone's bag and car can be searched without a warrant.

Shogunle finished his list, by telling Nigerians to report an encounter with a police if they disliked how they were treated.
