Governor Okorocha said that the ruling party lost power in some state during the just-concluded general elections due to the conduct of Oshiomhole.

Bringing the matter home, Okorocha said that Oshiomhole's alleged high-handedness brought about the APC not having any elected political office holder in Imo after the poll.

He said: “My fear now is that APC might have a serious set back in 2023 because the Oshiomhole’s led executive is actually turning APC into a regional minority party which shouldn’t be because of his mistakes.

"Right now in the whole of southeast, we don’t have an APC governor. So if there is any discussion in Nigeria now within the APC governors and President Muhammadu Buhari, there would be nobody from the southeast. This is what the APC chairman has done in the southeast."

Meanwhile, Legit.ng reported that Okorocha of Imo state had said there would be a sort of imbalance in the Nigerian political space if the next president or deputy of the Senate does not come from the southeast geopolitical zone.

Okorocha, at the State House in Abuja on Monday, April 1, said: “I’ve been watching carefully what is happening in the National Assembly, it’s a very funny drama. "

But all I ask from them is that they should consider the southeast in their calculations.

"This nation will not be properly balanced if southeast is not carried along properly in the affairs of the National Assembly."
