Adesua Etomi reacts to young man allegedly shot dead by SARS

- Nollywood actress, Adesua Etomi recently reacted to the death of Nigerian man Kolade Johnson who was allegedly shot dead by a SARS officer in Lagos

- Nigerian rapper, Falz and media personality Toke Makinwa have also weighed in on the matter and all are demanding that SARS be reformed

Nollywood actress, Adesua Etomi has reacted to the death of young Nigerian man, Kolade Johnson who was allegedly shot dead by a stray bullet by a trigger-happy SARS officer in Lagos on March 30.

Legit.ng earlier reported how some residents of Mangoro/Onipetesi community in Lagos on Sunday, March 30, went on a rampage blocking the Oshodi/Abeokuta expressway in protest against the killing of a youth in the area.

As many social media users mourn the death of Kolade who was reported to be watching a football match before he was hit by a stray bullet that killed him, some Nigerian celebrities are speaking up including Adesua, Banky, Falz, Toke and many others.

In a recent post shared on her verified Instagram page, Adesua, shared a photo of Kolade and demanded that justice be served. The bold actress also tagged President Buhari and his vice, Osinbajo in the post in which she stated that Johnson's only crime was stepping out of the house to watch football at a viewing centre on the faithful day.

She stated that she is sick and tired of government that does not listen to the cry of its people.

Falz did not shy away from speaking his mind when he shared a post suggesting that SARS officers are same as armed robbers and assassins following the news that they killed an innocent citizen and fled the scene.

Media personality, Toke Makinwa also had something to say and expressed shock that such a thing as SARS was still functioning in Nigeria given the several reports of their alleged misuse and abuse of power.

It has been reported that late Kolade was a young father of one and was based abroad. He only recently came to Nigeria for a visit before the ugly incident claimed his life.

Meanwhile, Femi Kuti has called for a peaceful protest against police brutality. The singer noted that if Nigerians do not raise their voices injustice would swallow us. Kuti explained that he would attend if Nigerians decide to do a peaceful protest.
