Legit.ng gathers that Atiku stated that his commitment to restructuring the country would bring enormous benefits to the state.

He urged the people of the state to support the party to return to power at the centre and all levels of governance in the state; pointing out that landmark development projects in the state were achieved under successive PDP administrations.

He said: “I have been coming to this state since 1998. Every development you are seeing here is the work of PDP – the schools, the hospitals, the roads, the factories and many others.

“Believe me, you will progress more if you continue to be PDP. Therefore, I admonish you to continue to remain PDP.”

Atiku also appealed to the people of the state, not to allow the All Progressives Congress (APC) steal their votes as doing so would amount to destroying the future of the state.

He said: “They stole your economy; don’t allow them steal your votes."

Meanwhile, Legit.ng previously reported that the Atiku 2019 National Support Group urged Nigerians to be wary of President Muhammadu Buhari, stressing that allowing the president beyond 2019 will be disastrous for the country.

The chairman of the group, Marce Anyanwu, said the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) tricked Nigerians in 2015 to get their votes but said Buhari had destroyed the economy.

He also condemned the Buhari government's famed fight against corruption, saying it was only targeted at the president's political opponents.
