Speaking with newsmen in Abuja on the distinction between both groups, Presidential Campaign Council (PCC) and the Women and Youth Presidential Campaign (WYPC), Marwa said: “This is definitely a new addition to the political lexicon in Nigeria for two presidential campaign organisations, for the same platform, to run side by side.

“This is innovative, imaginative and strategic and will enhance the potency of the campaign as a whole. The singular objective of the campaign is the victory of President Buhari and Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo for a second term on February 16.

"I want to make it clear that there is absolutely no conflict or clash in the functioning of both organisations.

“The fact that both are respectively headed by the President and his wife is sufficient to allay fears of any conflict or competition. Both organisations remain complementary.”

Marwa urged Nigerians to vote Buhari for a second term as he had laid the foundation for economic prosperity.

He stated that President Muhammadu Buhari had made room for more access to credit facilities through Social Investment Programmes (SIP) for the poverty-stricken.

He added that the federal government had also done well in the fight against insecurity by clipping the wings of Boko Haram terrorists who formerly had many regions in the northeast in their sway.

The former governor further said: “The issue of the Independent People of Biafra and farmers-herders clashes have also been greatly addressed. Operations are ongoing and things will get better.

“He is building that foundation and by the time he comes back, we will consolidate that. There will be more jobs, better opportunities and the economy will be stronger.”

He also explained that Trader Moni had been part of the APC's plan for the nation. Marwa wondered why the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) is kicking against it.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng reported that President Muhammadu Buhari on Monday, January 7, inaugurated the presidential campaign council for the forthcoming 2019 general elections.

This is contained in a statement released by Festus Keyamo, the spokesperson of the Buhari campaign organisation.

The statement read that the event will take place at 10am at the International Conference Center, Area 11, Abuja.
