Italian second division goalkeeper Filippo Perucchini scored a bizarre own goal when his team Ascoli met Palermo in a Serie B match.

The shot-stopper made an hilarious blunder when he found himself kicking the ball into the back of his own net.

Perucchini received a back-pass from his center-back Nahuel Valentini that went across goal before he was pressured by Palermo striker Stefano Moreo.

As he tried to turn comically, the AC Milan youth academy product ended up playing the ball into his own net.

The goalie fell on his knees looking stunned with his hands in his head in disbelief at the horrible mistake.

And fans went on Twitter to give classic responses, with many of them referencing EA Sports video game FIFA.
