Davido names Nigerian business magnate Captain Idahosa Wells Okunbo as his godfather (photo)

Over the years many have wondered who David Adeleke’s godfather is. Some people thought it was Africa’s richest man Alhaji Aliko Dangote because of their closeness to the singer's family. However, Davido has taken to his Instagram handle to reveal his godfather's identity.

According to the Assurance crooner, the young man mentioned popular Nigerian business magnate Captain Idahosa Wells Okunbo (Hosa) as his godfather.

Davido mentioned Captain Hosa in a random post, he also shared a picture of him with him.

The post reads: “I wanna say a big Thank you to my Godfather Capt Hosa for making this possible! Also wanna say a Big thank you to the Chagoury’s for hosting me in their beautiful home and a lovely dinner!! BACK ON TRACK WE ANNOUNCE MY DECEMBER CONCERT IN 2 DAYS.”

It was gathered that Okunbo is a Nigerian business magnate, investor, philanthropist and trained commercial pilot. He is also the chairman of several company boards in Nigeria, spanning multiple business sectors such as petroleum, telecommunications, power, real estate and banking industries.
