Breaking: Bolaji Abdullahi resigns as APC national secretary, leaves party

- Bolaji Abdullahi, the national secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has made public his decision to leave the party

- Abdullahi said that this resolve was prompted by series of unpleasant developments unfolding in the ruling party

- He further said that more than once his loyalty to the party has been questioned, adding that his views have also been opposed on different occasions

The All Progressives Congress (APC) national secretary, Bolaji Abdullahi, has left the ruling party.

Abdullahi made this landslide move public on his Twitter page on Wednesday, August 1. He said that his resolve to resign from his office following recent development in the ruling party.

Abdullahi further said that on several occasions his loyalty to the party has been brought into question, adding that he has suffered insubordination from some of deputies.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng reported that after weeks of political permutations, expectations and defections, Bukola Saraki, Nigeria's senate president had finally decamped from the ruling the APC to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and this particular defection had brought about mixed reactions from Nigerians.

The reactions that followed Saraki's exit from the APC ranged from outright jubilation from some sections of Nigerians to ironic acceptance by another section.
