Real Madrid superstar Cristiano Ronaldo might dump his potential move to Juventus and return to his former club, Manchester United this summer.

The 33-year-old, who dropped a hint over his future after winning his fifth career Champions League title in Kiev in May has been tipped to join the Serie A champions all summer long.

According to Daily Express, Ronaldo's reason for quitting Madrid is tied to the fact that the club's president Florentino Perez refused to give him an improved deal that earn as high as Barcelona and PSG players Lionel Messi and Neymar.

The 2016 UEFA European champion was said to have agreed to join Juventus with his Real Madrid exit expected to be confirmed in the next 48 hours.

However, Manchester Evening News claims that there's a twist to the deal as the 33-year-old remains keen on a return to former club Manchester United.

Meanwhile, Jose Mourinh's main target for the summer would be to secure Gareth Bale's signature - a deal that might be difficult for the Premier League side since the arrival of their new manager Julen Lopetegui.

Reports filtering the Spanish media claims that Ronaldo was supposedly hellbent on moving to United, while some believe he will mend his differences with Mourinho to achieve his aim.

As the pair had a falling out during the manager's reign at the Santiago Bernabeu some seasons back, and if Ronaldo receives an offer to join United, that may stop his move to Juventus.
