Premier League side Chelsea are considering a deal for Croatia’s Dinamo Zagreb defender Filip Benkovic, reports suggest.

According to the UK Express says the Stamford Bridge dwellers are plotting a move for the Croat despite the managerial uncertainty at Premier League outfit.

The FA cup winners have not announced the departure of Italian boss Antonio Conte despite reports linking the West London side with ex-Napoli manager Maurizio Sarri ahead of the new campaign.

However, the Blues’ eggheads are eager to offer a deal to the Croatia Under-21 star.

The Dinamo Zagreb player is currently valued at £25m and is likely to be Chelsea’s first summer arrival.

Interestingly, the managerial uncertainty at Stamford Bridge has worked in the best interest of the club. Some of the returning squad members are equally disturbed on what the new campaign holds for them.

Belgian duo of Eden Hazard and Thibaut Courtois are likely to leave the Premier League side as well as Alvaro Morata.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng previously had reported that Courtois is willing to accept a pay cut to leave Stamford Bridge this summer.
