Just in: Candidate reportedly dies during police recruitment medical screening in Abuja
- A female candidate undergoing police recruitment exercise in Abuja has reportedly slumped and died
- She was said to have slumped while filling the medical test form

Christiana Danjuma, a female police candidate, has slumped and died on Friday, June 1, in Abuja during medical screening in the ongoing police recruitment exercise.
The Kaduna state indegene reportedly slumped when she was filling the medical test form.
Punch reports that she was rushed to the National Hospital, Abuja, where she was confirmed dead around 11am.

In their reaction, ACP Jimoh Moshood, the force public relations officer, in a statement said Ibrahim Idris, the inspector-general of police has ordered an investigation into the incident.
“The Nigeria police force regrets to announce the sudden death of Danjuma Christiana, a female PC recruit candidate with number PSCRKD094 from Kaduna state undergoing medical screening for the 2018 police recruitment.
“The said late Danjuma slumped while filling the medical test form; she was resuscitated and rushed to National Hospital, Abuja, where she was confirmed dead at about 11:00hrs.
“Her corpse earlier deposited at the National Hospital Mortuary, Abuja, has been released to her family.”
“The inspector-general of police has, therefore, directed a full investigation into the death of this promising young lady,” the statement read.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng had reported that the federal government was chided by the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) for allegedly making Arabic language compulsory in the aptitude test conducted last week for all applicants shortlisted for recruitment into Nigeria Police Force.
