In the music industry today, it is not a new thing to hear remake of songs done by other artistes. Sometimes, people take out parts from older songs and create beautiful fusion of sounds. However, if the copyright of a song is to be tampered with, a 'sample clearance' is needed.

That is why when Nigerian singer, Tekno dropped his new single, Jogodo, a lot of people expected him to give credit to the musc veterans, Danfo Driver, as it was glaring his inspiration came from them. It appears he didn't as the group has called him out on the issue.

In a brief interview after their performance at the recently held Headies awards, they expressed displeasure towards Tekno's sampling of their Kpologo song without seeking permission. According to Mountain Black, they deserve some credit for their intellectual property and they are willing to go to any length to get it from the singer who they claim didn't do right by them.
