Nigerians react to Naomi Campbell's visit to Lagos

- British supermodel Naomi Campbell meets with President Buhari in Lagos state

- The model met the president while he toured the ongoing Eko Atlantic City project

- Nigerians have taken to social media to express their views on the supermodel’s visit and her meeting with the president

President Buhari had arrived in Lagos state on Thursday, March 29, for a 2-day visit to tour ongoing and finished projects. Upon his arrival the president had kicked off the inauguration of the Ikeja Bus Terminal.

The president who inspected the ongoing Eko Atlantic City construction project this Friday, March 30, had met with popular British supermodel, Naomi Campbell, who is reportedly in Nigeria for Arise Fashion Week.

Photos of the model shaking hands with the president at Eko Atlantic City were shared on social media. The model was also pictured with Governor Akinwunmi Ambode of Lagos state, national leader of All Progress Congress, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and others.

It was gathered that Naomi Campbell is in Lagos for the Arise Fashion Week which took off this Friday, March 30, at the Lagos Continental Hotel. The fashion programme is slated to end on Monday, April 2.

After photos of the model surfaced on social media, many Nigerians shared their views on the status of the model's visit.

As always Nigerians would be Nigerians, we always have a piece of mind to give and joke about. Many made jokes that the president who is always busy with his governmental work doesn’t even know who Naomi Campbell is.

Others, made jokes that the model who recently arrived in Nigeria had met the president while, they as Nigerian citizens only see him on screen.
