Samuel Eto'o denies paying flight fare for Libyan refugees

- Cameroon football legend, Samuel Eto'o, has taken to his Instagram page to deny reports that he used his private jet to fare stranded Cameroon refugees home from Libya

- The former Chelsea attacker also condemn the troubling news of human slavery coming from the African continent

- He posted a picture quote of Malcom X that reads "when the black man will respect the black man nobody will walk on the black man"

African football legend, Samuel Eto'o, has denied viral reports that claimed he used his private jets to fare stranded Cameroonian refugees from Libya to Cameroon.

Eto'o, 36, took to his Instagram page to deny the viral reports linking him with a humane rescue operation of stranded Cameroonians in Libya, while also condemning the devastating stories of modern day slavery originating from the North African country.

The four time African best footballer posted a quote written in French and image of activist Malcom X, the quote when translated to English reads: "when the black man will respect the black man nobody will walk on the black man"

The 36-year-old then captioned his post with a length write all in French, condemning the recent news of modern day slave trade in Libya and also distancing himself from viral reports that he used his private jets to rescue trapped Cameroonians in the north African country; that he gave them money.

The post when translated to English reads: "Several sites circulated a rumor that I would have given money to each returning migrant, in relation to a current issue. This rumor is absolutely unfounded!

"I would like to take this opportunity, dear brothers and sisters, to emphasize that love prevents more harm than money can solve.

"So, let's not waste our precious time looking for thrills at the expense of afflicted people, but use this time to prevent other brothers from being deprived of their dignity.

"Do not just react when we can prevent, because among these victims are certainly people who have been our neighbors at some point, but to whom we have not deigned to look kindly.

Eto'o is a Cameroonian professional footballer, he had successful footballing spells in top European league like Barcelona, Chelsea, Inter Milan and presently plays in the Turkish league.

He has won the prestigious African Best footballer of the year a record four times.
