Acting President Yemi Osinbajo has officially received 2017 Appropriation bill and it is currently undergoing very prompt and diligent consideration.
Legit.ng gathered that the Senior Special Assistant, Media and Publicity to Acting President Yemi Osinbajo, Laolu Akande made this known in his tweet, confirming the readiness of the government to pass the budget after diligent consideration
Legit.ng had previously reported that the Senate asked federal government to present the budgets of corporations, agencies and parastatals to the legislature within two weeks.

The Nigerian lawmakers issued the ultimatum at the plenary on Wednesday May 17. The Senate, following a motion by the Deputy Leader, Bala Na’Allah also resolved that the concerned agencies should stop further spending pending compliance.

Also, the Legit.ng reported that the Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed debunked the media reports that quoted him as saying that the federal government is at a loss over who will sign the 2017 budget.
The minister of information claims he never made such a statement. He said his earlier statement on the budget issue was misinterpreted.
