Senator Shehu Sani who is a former lawmaker from Kaduna state has described the plan to establish Fulani settlements across the country as a recipe for disaster.

Speaking at the summit, the national president of MACBAN, Muhammadu Kirowa said the governor as the chairman of the Southeast Governors' Forum was able to ensure civility between herdsmen and their respective hosts in the region.

Gan Adams accused the federal government of turning a blind eye to the activities of the armed herdsmen, by refusing to call a spade by its name, dubbing the Fulani marauders as criminals, bandits, and pillagers.

Senator Shehu Sani, representing Kaduna Central in the upper house of legislature, has warned the federal government against giving the country's resources to Fulani herdsmen under the umbrella body of Miyetti Allah.

Local militia in Plateau have been accused by Fulani leaders of killing 81 cows and rustling 32 others somewhere near the Collage of Accountancy in Kwall, Bassa local government area of the north-central state.

The Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria has reportedly appealed to the Fulani community in Kaduna against carrying out a reprisal following the alleged attack on Kajuru village in the state that led to killings.

Governor Ishaku, who read the communique at the end of the tour of some border communities of Abako, Sai and Dogon-Gawa, said the amnesty window took effect immediately and would expire by the end of January 2019.
