Boniface disclosed that he was live-streaming on social media when he received a message to go for medicals at Bremen.
He stated that he could not inform the fans he was heading to sign a new deal, as he had to lie that he was rushing to attend a wedding ceremony.
Boniface said:
"I'm a kind of guy that don't really go out after training, so I'm always home. So when I'm bored, I hust stream for like one hour with my friends because I have a huge fanbase in Nigeria.
"I was on stream when I received a message saying I need to go do medical and stuff.
"So I couldn't really say to them (the viewers) that I was going for medicals. So I said to them I was heading to a wedding, then I left.
"I came to do the medical and when I signed everything, I came back and started streaming again. This life, again, like I said, I just want to have fun."

"Everything just happened so quickly, which I was pleased about. I had some great conversations with the people at Werder, which gave me a good feeling about the move. I’m so happy to be here.
"The last few weeks haven’t been easy for me. The people here at Werder told me their exact plans and it didn’t take them long to convince me. I was on board immediately and I am very pleased that it has come to be.
