UEFA 2025/26: Exciting Matchups Await – List of Qualified Teams To Be Drawn

Action is set to return to the UEFA Champions League, and the organisers have set Thursday, August 28, for the draws in Monaco.
Just like it was introduced last season, the new campaign will follow the 36-team league phase format.
French giants Paris Saint-Germain won the 2024/25 UEFA Champions League after defeating Inter Milan 5-0 in the final at the Allianz Arena in Munich, Germany.

It was the club's first-ever UCL title, and the score line remains the largest margin of victory at the tournament. Fans also reacted to the win, naming Kylian Mbappe in their comments.

Qualified for the Champions League Phase Draw
England - Liverpool, Manchester City, Chelsea, Tottenham Hotspur, Newcastle United and Arsenal.
Spain - Real Madrid, Barcelona, Atletico Madrid, Athletic Club and Villarreal.
Italy - Napoli, Inter, Atalanta, Juventus.
Germany - Bayern Munich, Bayer Leverkusen, Eintracht Frankfurt, Borussia Dortmund.
France - PSG, Monaco, Marseille.
The Netherlands - PSV Eindhoven, Ajax.
Portugal - Sporting Lisbon.
Belgium - Union Saint-Gilloise.
Turkey - Galatasaray.
Greece - Olympiacos (Greece).
Czech - Slavia Prague.

Seven spots are vacant ahead of the draws, and they will be filled through the qualifying rounds: five from the Champions Path and two from the League Path.

Pot 1: Real Madrid, Manchester City, Bayern Munich, Liverpool, PSG, Inter Milan, Chelsea, Borussia Dortmund, Barcelona.
Pot 2: Arsenal, Bayer Leverkusen, Atletico Madrid, Atalanta, Villarreal, Juventus, Eintracht Frankfurt.
Pot 2/3: Tottenham, PSV.
Pot 3: Ajax, Napoli, Sporting CP, Olympiacos, Slavia Prague, Marseille, Bodo/Glimt.
Pot 4: AS Monaco, Galatasaray, Union SG, Athletic Club, Newcastle United, Pafos, Kairat.
Champions League draw format
There will be four pots, and teams will be split based on UEFA’s club coefficient rankings, per Football London.
From Pot 1, each team will be drawn and paired with eight opponents as determined by UEFA’s automated software.
Each of the teams will play eight matches - two against teams from each out, one at home, the other away.
Also, teams from the same country will not face each other in the preliminary rounds and
Clubs from the same country cannot face each other; no club will play more than two matches against different clubs in a country.

The fixtures showing date and time will be made public no later than Saturday, 30 August.
Dembele tipped to win Ballon d'Or
Legit.ng earlier reported that PSG star Ousmane Dembele has been tipped to win the Ballon d'Or since Paris Saint-Germain won their first UEFA Champions League trophy in May this year.
The current happenings do not affect him, as the timeline for consideration was from August 1, 2024, to July 31, 2025, and the FIFA Club World Cup was the last major tournament that would affect this year's voting.
