Pep Guardiola who is the manager of Manchester City has been named as the best Premier League manager for the month of February following an incredible performance by his players.

Manchester City were in superb form all through the month of February in which they did not losr any match in their Premier League campaign.

This will be the second month in a row that Pep Guardiola will be winning the best Premier League manager having being named winner also in January.

Manchester City midfielder Ilkay Gundogan has also won the player of the month award which is an incredible one for the Germany international.

For Guardiola, this is the ninth time that he has been named manager of the month in just under five years in the Premier League.

He now sits fourth outright on the all-time list after moving ahead of Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp, Martin O’Neill and Harry Redknapp.

Former Arsenal handler with 15, ex-Manchester United gaffer Alex Ferguson with 27 and David Moyes with 10 are the only three managers who have won the best Premier League coach award more than Guardiola.

Meanwhile, Manchester City are still topping the Premier League table with 68 points after 29 games played so far.

Earlier, Legit.ng had reported how Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola stated that a certain number of players will not be allowed to go on international duty later this month.

International break looms as players are billed to return to their respective national teams to participate in competitions for their home country.

Guardiola who has now joined the likes of Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel says they will not allow players travel home if they would need to quarantine upon return to the UK.

Coronavirus protocols in the UK means that players would immediately embark on a 10-day quarantine when they return, which will consequently see them miss a few games.
