Deeper Life member shares marriage committee experience
On her Facebook page, Heirs of God’s Kingdom, the woman shared why she didn’t have an issue with the marriage committee when she went through them 30 years ago.
She said in her post:
“My husband and I went through the Marriage Committee over 30 years ago, and here we are today, still praising God! We didn't have any issue with them from start to finish because we were well prepared to do the will of God.
“There was no fear in meeting them when we needed to. Everything went well. There may be some glitches in some cases and situations over the years, but our Father in the Lord is there to attend to them accordingly.”
Speaking about her marriage list and the committee’s reaction, she said:
“When I went to get the engagement list from my father and saw some ungodly things in the list, I waited for the number of days that was needed to plead with my father before he agreed to the amendments.

“He told me to get a clean sheet of paper and pick the things I wanted from his list. I excitedly did same and thanked him profusely. When I came back to Ibadan, my husband was very happy, seeing the list. We praised God together as I shared the testimony of what happened. No phones then, you know.
“When the Marriage Committee saw the list, they were also happy and commended me. I believe that when we are willing to do the will of God, and we soak every process with prayers while also serving God heartily and consistently, He takes over our matters and gives us good success.”
