Reactions as child repeats class in school

"For those of you talking about solid foundation, the problem is mothers don't care about their children's academics, y'all don't put effort. you just leave the work for the teacher, which is really very uncalled for, I've taught nursery 3 for years before I quit teaching job and when you see parents that makes effort, it shows in the kids, I had a child in my class that wasn't doing well atall but the parents wanted more, first they employed me as his lesson teacher and before a month the child started reading queen primer, hello I didn't say he crammed it ooo he knew his letter sounds, he understood what he was reading."

"If it's abroad now, they will be claiming something is wrong with the child. i know a particular lady when we were in primary school she was doing terrible, fast forward to today, this same lady graduated with 1st class from the university."

"I still don’t understand the concept of repeating basic class when all that matter at this stage is identifying their strength and weaknesses with the aim of helping them. The parent should please fill in the gap in this regard."
@Rynearson said:
"Every child is unique and develops at their own pace. I didn’t start writing or speaking early, and some of my mates used to degrade me, calling me slow and not smart. But guess what? I’m now in the university, studying Mechanical Engineering at one of the most prestigious institutions, and I’m a first-class student with a high GPA. Your son will also do well, just encourage him, discover the learning methods that work best for him, and never compare him to others."
