A Nigerian popular chef, Hida Baci, has reacted to her latest Guinness World Record.
Popular Nigerian chef Hilda Baci had announced online that she would be attempting to make history by cooking the largest pot of jollof rice ever, in collaboration with Gino.

The event took place on September 12, 2025, at Eko Hotel and Suites, Lagos State.
On Monday, September 15, the Guinness World Records confirmed that she had set the record for the largest pot of jollof rice weighing 8,780 kg.

In a video by @hildabaci on TikTok, the chef showed when she was on a call with the organisers of the GWR.
She captioned the video:

How Hilda Baci prepared for jollof festival
Hilda Baci earlier announced that the event, which was earlier scheduled to be held at Muri Okunola Park, would now be held at Eko Hotel and Suites.
Weeks ago, Hilda Baci and her crew test-ran the pot she was going to use for her latest kitchen quest.
On Thursday, she announced that the pot arrived at Eko Hotel by 4 am ahead of the record-breaking event.

Lady rates Hilda's Baci's record-breaking jollof rice
A Nigerian lady attended Hilda Baci's jollof rice festival and tasted the rice she collected when she got home.
After taking one spoonful, she told people how it tasted and mentioned what she felt about the rice texture.
