A man took a flight from Port Harcourt to Lagos for Hilda Baci’s record-breaking jollof rice cook-off.
Popular Nigerian chef, Hilda Baci, had announced online that she would be attempting to make history for the largest pot of jollof rice ever cooked.

The event is set for September 12, 2025, at Eko Hotel and Suites, Lagos State.
Man shares observation at Hilda Baci’s jollof event
In an Instagram video by @outside_with_charlie, the man showed when the popular chef was washing the pot ahead of the cook-off.
The man also showed some of the sound and stage setup for the event.
In his video, Hilda Baci was seen washing the pot as many people gathered to record her.
He said:
“I just arrived Lagos from Port Harcourt because I want to experience this my self… My phone is not doing justice to this pot because it can carry over 90 bags of rice. Please you people should come out and support her.
“It’s not going to be easy and it’s going to be like a party because I’m seeing a lot of sound and stage setup. A lot of your favourites are going to be there too.”

Hilda Baci prepares for jollof rice festival
Hilda Baci earlier announced that the event, which was earlier scheduled to be held at Muri Okunola Park, would now be held at Eko Hotel and Suites.
She opened up about the number of people registered for the event and the reason for the venue change.
Weeks ago, Hilda Baci and her crew test-ran the pot she was going to use for her latest kitchen quest.
