Lady Who Saves N2k Everyday Via OPay Target Savings Posts Unexpected Amount She Gets as Interest
- A Nigerian lady has gone public with the expected interest OPay would credit her for using its Target Saving plan
- On September 2, she started an OPay Target Saving plan and was impressed after seeing the amount OPay gives her for saving N2k daily
- The lady, who misunderstood the expected interest, celebrated it online, but people schooled her about what it actually means
A lady, Vianney Obianuju, has taken to social media to showcase how much OPay would pay her as interest for saving N2k daily.
She screenshotted her OPay dashboard and posted it on Facebook while hailing the financial institution.

Her dashboard showed that OPay would credit her an interest of N82.19 if she deposits N2k daily for 100 days in her Target Saving plan.
However, the lady incorrectly interpreted it to mean that her expected interest is the N82.19 multiplied by 100 days. She celebrated ignorantly. Her post read:

A look at her dashboard showed that she started the savings plan on September 2 and it would run until December 11, 2025, totalling 100 days.

OPay: People react to lady's interest

"If you manage to save up 2k daily without breaking it,

In a related story, Legit.ng reported that a mother using OPay Safebox to save N1k daily for her children had shown the total amount she had saved and the interest she received.
OPay saving: Lady displays interest she earned
Meanwhile, Legit.ng previously reported that a lady using OPay Safebox had displayed the interest she was paid in July 2025.
She recalled how she had encouraged people to save their money in banks instead of giving it to an individual, but was told by some people that it was a sign of indiscipline on her part.

She expressed delight that the total interest OPay would credit her from now till December would be enough to purchase a goat, rice and other items. The lady did not, however, disclose how much she saves monthly using the OPay savings feature.
