Since its launch in 2018, SSMW has evolved into one of the region’s most influential strategy platforms, consistently attracting stakeholders committed to shaping the future of the South South.

Speaking ahead of the event, Convener Tammy Halliday noted that the partnerships are not just symbolic, but intentional—aimed at strengthening the ecosystem through collaboration and shared value.

“We are building an environment where global insight meets local innovation. This is how ecosystems grow—through the right partnerships and the right conversations,” he said.

Halliday further emphasized the need for the Niger Delta to transition from consumption to production, highlighting the importance of value creation and manufacturing in achieving economic independence.

Beyond thought leadership sessions, the conference will also provide opportunities for emerging innovators through grants, recognition, and access to networks that can accelerate their growth.

As SSMW 2026 kicks off this weekend, its growing list of partners underscores a larger narrative—one where the Niger Delta is not just participating in global conversations, but actively positioning itself as a hub for innovation and collaboration.
