Arrangements have reached an advanced stage for the hosting of the 2026 edition of the African Iconic Women Recognition Awards (AIWRA), scheduled to hold at Abuja’s top-tier hospitality firm, the 5-star Transcorp Hilton Abuja.

Organised by Fajag Concept, owners of Face of Democracy Nigeria (FDN), the award celebrates women across Africa who continue to shatter the glass ceiling, challenge the status quo, and record remarkable achievements in their respective professions and careers.

Themed “Elevate at 15th" the 15th edition of AIWRA will once again bring together distinguished personalities, policymakers, entrepreneurs, and development advocates from across the continent.

The choice of Transcorp Hilton Abuja, renowned for hosting high-profile events and international conferences, underscores the prestige and growing influence of the awards platform.

In a statement, the Founder and Chairman of Fajag Concept, Mr. Olufunsho Alexander Olumuyiwa Ajagbonna, expressed confidence that the 2026 edition would surpass previous milestones. This year’s awardees include Nigeria’s First Lady, Oluremi Tinubu; Namibia’s President, Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah; Ghana’s First Lady, Lordina Mahama; and the First Lady of the Democratic Republic of Congo, Denise Nyakeru Tshisekedi, among other distinguished women leaders across the continent.
