Norm of prophecy among pastors

Legit.ng reports that from mega worship centres to smaller congregations, church services in Nigeria are often marked by pastors, prophets, and spiritual leaders sharing their visions and prophecies.

These prophecies, which often address issues such as economic recovery, political events, natural disasters, and national security, have become an annual tradition in the West African nation.

Every now and then, people in the country look forward to the declarations of respected and popular religious leaders, hoping for insight into the country’s fortunes and future.

While some of these prophecies come to pass, others fall short, deepening mistrust and raising concerns about the credibility and calling of these preachers.

Prophecy on rapture

Earlier, Legit.ng reported that the lead pastor of Grace Confirmation Church Worldwide, Gen Robert Jr, released a prophecy about when the world would end.

In a post on Facebook, the Enugu-based preacher claimed that the world would no longer exist before 2030.
