Buhari Condemns Killing of Katsina Commissioner, Tells Security Agents What to do

Abuja - Nigeria's President Muhammadu Buhari has condemned the assassination of the Katsina state commissioner of science and technology, Dr. Rabe Nasir.

The Sun reports that Buhari ordered security agents to find those behind, adding that there is no place for such violence in our country.

The president in a satement issued by presidential spokesman Garba Shehu, described Nasir's killing as a heinous act, The Punch added.

He urged the law enforcement agencies to do a thorough investigation and bring to justice all those who are behind the crime.

Fear grips residents as gunmen assassinate Katsina commissioner

In a previous report by Legit.ng, gunmen killed the Katsina state commissioner of science and technology.

Nasir was alleged to have been assassinated at his residence in Fatima Shema Estate in Katsina metropolis on Wednesday, December 8.

Contrary to the initial report a source said the commissioner was killed when his assailants struck on Thursday, December 9.

Meanwhile, some unknown gunmen invaded Etekwuru autonomous community of Ohaji/ Egbema local government area of Imo state in the early hours of Wednesday, December 7.

The gunmen who invaded the community gunned down at least two residents during the attack.

It was gathered that the gunmen also destroyed some property in the community while leaving some residents injured.

Meanwhile, Benue state governor, Samuel Ortom, criticised President Buhari’s way of handling pertinent matters in the country.

The governor slammed the Buhari administration, describing it as the worst when it comes to the handling of security matters.
