A Legendary Celebration: How Legend Extra Stout Celebrated Women at August Meeting in Aba

Across the South East, women are community builders. Nowhere is this more evident than during the annual August Meeting, when Igbo women at home and in the diaspora travel back to their matrimonial villages, bringing with them ideas, resources, conversations, and, of course, plenty of community spirit.

Besides the homecoming, August Meeting is where women come together to drive development, resolve issues, support families, and keep cherished traditions alive.

This year, as the Legend in these communities gathered, Legend Extra Stout joined them in Abia State, continuing the brand's tradition of recognising local community pillars. Using the annual homecoming as an avenue to honour women’s contribution, the brand created points of appreciation throughout this year’s event.

The celebration in Umuahia, Abia State, marked the second chapter of Legend Extra Stout’s August Meeting initiative, following its opening celebration in Enugu on August 8. Across both gatherings, Legend Extra Stout brought its signature premium experience to the occasion, supporting activities that recognised and celebrated the women whose leadership, generosity and influence continue to shape families and communities across the South East.
