The viral clip, reshared by TVC during one of its programmes, showed the moment Carter Efe presented himself as a staff member of TVC News during a stop-and-search at a police checkpoint.

The controversy started after his appearance on The Honest Bunch podcast, during which criticised the singer and spoke about their relationship.

During a livestream, he later went on his knees and begged for forgiveness and promised never to insult Wizkid again amid the social media criticism.
