In a throwback episode of the ABTalks podcast, the singer expressed regret for his decision to go that route, claiming that he could have handled the situation more effectively.

When the podcast presenter Anas Bukhash asked him about the time he felt the most disappointed in himself, Davido responded:

“Probably, when me and my wife, Chioma first had like a little rift. I thought I could have done better because she is an amazing person. I think that was the only time I messed up. But I have fixed it.”

Legit.ng reported that the lovebirds experienced numerous issues in the past, yet they continued to rise above them. During the interview, Davido emphasised his wife's wonderful traits and stated that their marriage is precious to him.

Davido revisits his son's death

Legit.ng earlier reported that Davido revisited the unimaginable tragedy when his three-year-old son, Ifeanyi Adeleke, drowned at their Banana Island home in 2022.

The singer opened up about how the loss altered not just his life but his perspective on everything, including his career.

The singer admitted that he and his wife, Chioma, didn’t know how they would recover, but they did, and he’s proud of it.
