Ruth Otabor, the sister of Big Brother Naija Season 7 winner Phyna, will be laid to rest on Saturday, September 13, at her home in Ewuoloye Itasanni, Ikorodu, Ogijo, Ogun State, as her obituary recently surfaced online.

A video also showed Phyna in a black gown with a black face mask, as some BBNaija stars were also seen with her.

According to the details on the obituary, Ruth’s body left 'Ebony Mortuary in Ikoyi for her home at Ewuoloye Itasanni, Ikorodu, Ogijo, Ogun State.'

She was survived by her parents, siblings, and children.

Legit.ng recalls reporting that Ruth passed away on August 31, and her death was confirmed on Sunday, September 1, in a statement issued by Eko Solicitors & Advocates on behalf of the family and shared by Phyna on her social media page.

Recall that on August 13, 2023, Phyna’s sister was hit by a truck belonging to the Dangote Group near Auchi Polytechnic in Edo State.

The impact crushed her leg, and it was amputated. According to reports, the accident happened just six days after Ruth graduated from Auchi Polytechnic.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng reported that the National Association of Polytechnic Students (NAPS) also reacted to her Ruth Otabor's demise.

NAPS, in a statement, disclosed it was working to provide support for Ruth's family and to honour her legacy.

The body also revealed Phyna's late sister would be imortalised at Auchi Polytechnic.
