Global Afrobeats icon David Adedeji, aka Davido, has once again shown why he is one of Africa’s most celebrated stars.
On Monday, November 18, the Nigerian singer was hosted to a private dinner by Atlanta’s Mayor, Andre Dickens.
The moment carries an extra layer of meaning for Davido, who was born in Atlanta before moving back to Nigeria as a child.
The dinner is ahead of the musician's headline concert at the State Farm Arena.
The event brought together a select group of dignitaries, industry leaders, and Davido’s close associates in recognition of his cultural impact and growing legacy in the United States.

Davido’s concert at the iconic State Farm Arena, scheduled for November 20, is part of his global “ 51VE ALIVE TOUR.”
Legit.ng reported that the music star had his white wedding with Chioma in August in Miami, United States. It had in attendance top dignitaries, including Africa's richest man, Aliko Dangote, who arrived in time from Iceland, where he had attended another wedding.
Davido honours Ifeanyi at wedding
Legit.ng recalled that the singer honoured his late son, Ifeanyi, at his white wedding.
To make his white wedding special and memorable, Davido used cufflinks with crested pictures of his late son at the event. He also proudly showed off the cufflinks in a post on his Instagram page.
