Jeroid took centre stage at the 2025 Crypto & DeFi Forum, marking a significant moment for Nigeria's digital finance scene. The Oriental Hotel hosted this pivotal event, which gathered regulators, founders, legal experts, and tech pioneers to discuss the future of crypto assets in Nigeria.
Jeroid's impact was felt both on stage and behind the scenes, with CEO Jeremiah Mayowa giving the keynote address entitled, "Future Forward: What’s Now and Next for Nigeria’s Digital Assets Industry?" Mayowa joined over 20 other industry leaders, including representatives from SEC Nigeria, Luno, Mastercard, Roqqu, KoinKoin, and SIBAN. He highlighted Jeroid’s focus on building a localised, secure, and user-centric platform tailored for Nigerians.
"At Jeroid, we’re not just reacting to the global crypto wave — we’re building a localised solution that’s fast, secure, and built around the needs of everyday Nigerians," he stated.
The Founder, Jeremiah Mayowa, also emphasized the need for stronger collaboration between Nigeria’s crypto regulators and industry players—of which he is one. He pointed out that since the regulations are intended for these players, excluding them from the planning and implementation process could render such regulations ineffective or counterproductive for the Nigerian crypto ecosystem.
Beyond the panel, Jeroid also sponsored the event’s official Wrap-Up Mixer in Victoria Island, which offered a VIP networking opportunity for investors, founders and regulators. The event stressed Jeroid’s commitment to community and relationship building.
