Dangote Announces More Filling Stations Where Nigerians Can Buy Cheap Petrol

Dangote Petroleum Refinery has announced the expansion of its free petrol delivery initiative to more filling stations across several Nigerian states.
The development is expected to lower pump prices for Nigerians buying from them.

In a statement released on Tuesday, September 2025, the company said leading marketers, including Conoil Plc, Eterna Plc, Golden Super, Nepal Energies, Kifayat Global Energy, Riquest Oil and Gas, and Emadeb Energy Services Limited, have signed up to benefit from the scheme.
These marketers, along with other independent retailers, will receive petrol directly from the refinery without paying delivery costs, enabling them to pass savings on to motorists.
The refinery is now expected to deliver petrol to filling stations of the marketers in Lagos, Ogun, Oyo, Ondo, Osun, Ekiti, Abuja, Kwara, Delta, Rivers, and Edo.
The states have been earmarked for the first phase of the programme, with more states set to follow in the coming weeks.

According to BusinessDay, Dangote Refinery’s existing distribution network includes MRS, Heyden, Ardova (AP), Hyde, Optima, Techno Oil, and TotalEnergies. Recently, more partners such as Garima Petroleum, Sunbeth Energies, and Sobaz Nigeria Ltd have joined the scheme.
Others are Virgin Forest Energy, Sixxco Oil Ltd., N.U. Synergy Ltd., Soroman Nigeria Ltd., Jezco Oil Nigeria Ltd., Jengre, Cocean, Kifayat, Triumph Golden, Sifem Global, Riquest, and Mamu Oil.
Dangote wants more marketers to sign up
The refinery has also urged more oil marketers to register and enjoy free deliveries.
Energy expert and co-founder of Dairy Hills, Kelvin Emmanuel, said Dangote’s decision to absorb logistics costs marks a turning point that could finally allow Nigerians to enjoy the benefits of local refining.

In a statement, Dangote Group said the move would absorb over N1.07 trillion annually in fuel distribution costs.
It said:
"The initiative eliminates transportation costs for fuel marketers and large-scale consumers, is expected to help reduce pump prices and inflation."
Otedola wades into Dangote, depot owners' faceoff
Earlier, Legit.ng reported that Nigerian billionaire businessman and philanthropist Femi Otedola stepped into the heated standoff between the Dangote Refinery and the Depot and Petroleum Products Marketers Association of Nigeria (DAPPMAN).
In a strongly worded letter, Otedola declared that depot owners are holding onto a business model that has outlived its relevance in Nigeria’s deregulated oil market.
He stated that the time for the depot owners to pack up and go has come, as the model is now obsolete and no longer viable.
