Nigerians Gather To Support President Buhari in United Kingdom, Video Emerges

- Some Nigerians have staged a peaceful gathering outside the temporary residence of President Buhari in London

- The Nigerians showed their support for the Nigerian leader who is currently on a medical trip to the UK

Supporters of President Muhammadu Buhari on Monday, April 5 gathered in front Nigerian House in London to show solidarity for the Nigerian leader.

Presidential spokesperson Garba Shehu tweeted a video of the supporters on Monday after and described them as 'patriotic Nigerians'.

He also shared pictures of the supporters on social media carrying placards with inscriptions such as 'This storm will surely pass', 'We pray for President Buhari'.

Legit.ng notes that the gathering is a counter to a similar gathering organized by Reno Omokri, an outspoken critic of the Buhari administration.

Omokri, a former aide to ex-president Goodluck Jonathan, had on Friday, April 2 gathered similar critics of the government and organized protests outside the temporary residence of the Nigerian leader who is currently on a trip to the UK for a medical checkup.

Omokri's actions were condemned in pro-government corners and the president's party, the All Progressives Congress denied there was any protest.

Legit.ng reported how President Buhari on Tuesday, March 30 afternoon, departed Abuja, the federal capital for his routine medical check-up in London, United Kingdom.

The Nigerian leader took off in one of the jets in the presidential fleet from the Nnamdi Azikwe International Airport, Abuja.
