- In a twist of fate, Lewis Roberts, jerked back to life after doctors concluded that nothing could be done about saving him
- The teen’s ‘miraculous awakening' happened just as plans were already in motion to donate his organs to seven people in need of them
- Lewis' family members are so grateful for having him back as they appreciated people who have shown them much love
An 18-year-old teen, Lewis Roberts, who was certified dead started breathing again hours before he was to be taken off life support.
Mirror reports that Lewis was involved in a ghastly crash and appeared to have lost his life in the incident.
It should be noted that after doctors said there was nothing to be done to save his life, his family agreed to donate his organs.
A fundraising campaign that was organised for him has since gathered over £1,000 (N524,330.82). The facilitator, Chloe Roberts, revealed that the teen was knocked down by a van in his hometown of Leek.
Stokesentinel gathered that his planned organ donation was going to save seven other people after medical expertise said he could not be saved.
Chloe revealed that Lewis’ health has since improved as he is responding well to pain tests and moving his limbs well enough.
She added that the kind of miracle that happened to him is what any family would wish for. In reaction, Jade, his sister, appreciated the people who have donated towards her brother’s healthcare.
The Staffordshire Police are, however, still investigating the accident that almost took the teenager’s life.
