Lionel Messi will run out of contract with Barcelona at the end of this season with an option of extension looking uncertain.
Both Paris Saint Germain and Manchester City are really hoping they can succeed in luring the Argentine away from the Nou Camp once his deal expires.
Though he has not revealed where he will be next season, the Catalans are hopeful they can convince him to stay.
However, Messi's teammate Oscar Mingueza urges the 33-year-old to look after his interests before considering any other thing.

So far, the six-time Ballon d'Or winner has scored 29 times and registered 13 assists in 37 appearances for Barcelona this season. The 21-year-old Spaniard told El Larguero according to Sport Bible:
"Nobody can complain about everything Messi has given us [at Barcelona]. He has to look after himself and no-one else."
Want-away Man City defender Eric Garcia described Messi as the "best player in the world" and admitted that it would be "special for anyone [to play alongside him]."
The 2014 World Cup finalist almost walked out of the club last summer after his relationship with the former board deteriorated.
Meanwhile, Joan Laporta after his win over Victor Font and Toni Freixa in the Barcelona presidential election earlier this month vowed to do everything in his power to convince Messi to sign a new Barca deal. He said:
"I take the opportunity to say again that I will try to convince Leo to stay with us. That is a must-do task, I will do all I can. He knows it.
"Whatever he does will be OK, but we will try to make him stay because he is the best player in the history of football.
"And my apologies Leo, for saying this right here and right now, but you know of my love for you, Barca loves you a lot and if this stadium would be full when you play the next game, I am sure you wouldn't be able to leave."
Legit.ng earlier reported that Lionel Messi is unarguably one of the greatest football stars in history owing to his achievements on the pitch.
This has led the Barcelona legend to win both collective and individual silverware that sets him above his peers.
Much more than the awards are the impressions he has created in the minds of the olds and the younger ones.
