Barcelona chiefs are reportedly on the verge of being dragged to court by former manager Quique Setien after their refusal to pay the Spaniard the remaining money left on his contract.

Quique Setien was hired as Barcelona coach in January 2020 and won 16 games out of the 25 that he was in charge at the Nou Camp.

Things turned sour for the 62-year-old at Camp Nou after Barcelona suffered an embarrassing 8-2 defeat against Bayern Munich in the Champions League.

Setien who failed to win any title with Barcelona last term was then asked to leave the club and Catalans appointed Ronald Koeman as his replacement.

As things are now, Barcelona chiefs should now be preparing for court battle between them and Setien who has made it clear many times that he wants his money.

Meanwhile, since he left Barcelona, Setien is yet to get another club where he can continue his managerial career.
