Paul Pogba and Eric Bailly have said an emotional goodbye to Timothy Fosu-Mensah ahead of the defender's January switch to Bayer Leverkusen.
Fosu-Mensah has already agreed a three-year deal with the Bundesliga giants as he looks to end his six-year stay with United.
The defender joined the Red Devils from Ajax back in 2014 but he has failed to earn a permanent role in the first team.
During his spell at Old Trafford, he managed just 30 appearances in all competitions, with nine of those coming in the last two seasons.
His last appearance for the Manchester club was on Saturday, January 8, as the side took on Watford in the FA Cup.
He was limited to just 10 minutes of action in what was his last appearance for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side.
Metro UK reports Fosu-Mensah was desperate for game time having failed to make an impact with United, leaving him with no choice but to complete a move to Leverkusen.
Bailly and Pogba appear to have been affected by Fosu-Mensah's departure, with the pair who enjoyed a close bond with the Dutch star paying an emotional farewell to him.
Fosu-Mensah shared a footage of the lovely sendoff from the pair who wished him well as the defender headed for the Carrington exit door.
Leverkusen are understood to have forked out just £1.8 million for the services of the 23-year-old.
He could make his debut for his new side as early as Friday, January 15, when Leverkusen take on Union Berlin away.
Earlier, Legit.ng reported that Man United legend Gary Neville has admitted the club stand a chance to gun for the title after earning a crucial win at Burnley on Tuesday night, January 12.
Man United edged the Turf Moor-based side 1-0 to cart home all the three points, with Paul Pogba scoring the vital goal that separated the two teams.
The win was enough to send the Red Devils three points clear on top of the standings as Liverpool dropped to second with 33 points.
This is the first time the Old Trafford dwellers are sitting on the summit of the Premier League table in January since Sir Alex Ferguson left the club in 2013.
The win at Burnley also saw United extend their unbeaten streak away from home and remain the only side yet to lose on the road so far this season.
