- Tottenham are hoping they could lure the 32-year-old on a season-long loan deal
In his bid to bolster his squad to challenge for the English Premier League title this season, Tottenham boss Jose Mourinho is reportedly set to launch a bid for Inter Milan forward, Ivan Perisic.
Mourinho failed to sign the player during his time at Manchester United as he remains an admirer of the Croatian who has made staggering 96 appearances for his country.
According to French outlet Foot Mercato via SunSport, Spurs and the Red Devils are looking at a possibility of luring the player.
Tottenham are hoping they could lure the 32-year-old on a season-long loan deal, but so far, an official agreement is yet to be reached.
Mourinho almost signed Perisic during his time in charge at Old Trafford as he came close to signing him in 2017 for £45million.
The attempt failed and United went on to sign Arsenal star, Alexis Sanchez who became a major flop for the Red Devils.
Perisic has been with Inter since he moved from Bundesliga side Vfl Wolfsburg in 2015, but Mourinho has continued to monitor him.
The Croatian ace was shipped out on loan to German giants Bayern Munich last season, and he returned to Inter in the summer and has made 21 appearances for them this term.
Meanwhile, French club PSG have reportedly named five players that are up for sale as new manager, Mauricio Pochettino is desperate in raising cash to do business in the transfer window.
Among stars to leave the club anytime soon include former Manchester United player Ander Herrera who joined in 2019.
The 31-year-old midfielder has scored just two goals so far for the club in as much as 42 appearances.
However, Legit.ng earlier reported that Liverpool goal poacher Mohamed Salah has emerged as a top transfer target for Spanish League defending champions Real Madrid this month.
The Egyptian forward has been in top form for the Reds since he joined them from Roma in the summer of 2017. His exploits have seen him win back-to-back EPL golden boots among several other individual and collective silverware.
Despite his deep form this campaign, Los Blancos are back on his trail having shown interest in the 28-year-old previously.
