Arsene Wenger who guided Arsenal to three Premier League titles as well as seven FA Cups before he left after 22 remarkable years is being poached to return to the Emirates.

The manager stepped-down from his position in 2018 after his final years at the club were marred by protests and anger from the club’s supporters.

After leaving the club, Wenger reportedly vowed never to step foot at the Emirates stadium again but according to the Daily Mail, the club's CEO Vinai Venkatesham paid a courtesy visit to the 71-year-old.

He reportedly spoke with Wenger about the club’s plan to pay a special tribute to the former Gunners leader.

Wenger led Arsenal to three Premier League titles and seven FA Cups during his illustrious reign, but the Gunners went trophyless and finished sixth in the top flight in his final season.

Under current manager Mikel Arteta, the Gunners lie 15th in the Premier League table, although the Spaniard did lead Arsenal to FA Cup success in the summer - the first trophy that the North London outfit had won since Wenger's departure.

Meanwhile, French League outfit Nice, have parted ways with Arsenal Legend Vieira after his side was knocked out of the Europa League.

The Eagles were handed a 3-2 defeat at the Allianz Riviera by German League outfit Bayer Leverkusen earlier this week.

And the outcome of the game, coupled with their performance in the Ligue 1 table necessitated his sack - bringing his two-year reign to an end.

They are currently sitting 11th on the log with 17 points from 11 topflight games - eight points shy of log leaders Paris Saint Germain.

However, Legit.ng earlier reported that former Manchester United boss, Sir Alex Ferguson has been voted the greatest manager of all time.

The 78-year-old tactician won 38 trophies while in charge of the Red Devils for over two and a half decades.

He won two Champions League and 13 Premier League titles among several other domestic and continental silverware during his reign at Old Trafford.

Ferguson contended with Bob Paisley and Brian Clough including former Barcelona handler Rinus Michels in the first round of voting and the ex-United boss came out tops 88.2% of the vote.
