The former Barcelona star claimed that Gonzalez made a bitter language against him which forced him to push him away.
But that does not stop the referee from sending him out of the encounter as the governing body in France will now review the incident and come out with proper punishment.
According to RMC Sports, Neymar may be given a seven-match suspension which will be a bad one for Paris-Saint-Germain.
The report added that the investigation committee will also review the racial abuse allegation levied against Gonzalez and he may be banned for 10 games.
Meanwhile, Paris-Saint-Germain are currently occupying 18th position on the Ligue 1 table after two games without any victory.
