Nigerian singer Simi has welcomed a beautiful baby girl. The excited new mum took to her social media page to announce the good news to her fans and followers.

In the mood of celebration, the Duduke crooner shared a photo of her baby girl and her father, Adekunle Gold, on her official Instagram page.

She noted that she had her baby on Saturday, May 30, 2020. In a caption that accompanied the post, the Ire singer revealed her baby's name as Adejare.

Describing how she feels about the birth of her own Duduke, she said that "it's like free-falling - this unending, soul snatching, infinite, mind-boggling love."

The new mother made a vow to her daughter that she will always have her back.

"Deja, my baby girl, I got you. I promise. Now and forever. So help me God," she said.

In the photo of her baby that she shared online, Adekunle was seen carrying their child. He held her little hand and kissed it.

About a month ago, Simi announced the news of her pregnancy with a beautiful song called Duduke. In the video of the song, the singer was rocking her huge baby bump.

Following the announcement of her song, a challenge was organised for fans and followers to dance to the music. She also shared the meaning of the name of her song.

"Duduke means - it's the beat of your heart or the beat of the drums you move your body to, or the beat you sing a melody to - it's whatever beat you want it to be," she wrote on her Instagram page.
